What we are looking for

We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to build and deploy core AI features for our product, including Prediction Engine, Lao voice command (low-resource language), user personalization, and AI analytics.

This role is ideal for an AI Engineer who is strong in machine learning fundamentals, experienced in production deployment, and comfortable working with imperfect, real-world data.

Must-Have

• 3–5 years of experience in AI / Machine Learning.
• Strong Python skills with:
• PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy
• Hands-on experience in:
• model training and evaluation
• data preprocessing
• deploying ML models into production
• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals and basic NLP.
• Experience building inference APIs.

Strong Plus

• Experience with:
• Speech models (Whisper, wav2vec2)
• Fine-tuning for low-resource languages
• Recommendation / personalization systems
• Vector databases (pgvector, FAISS)
• Docker, MLflow, basic MLOps
• Familiarity with AWS (S3, Athena).

Soft Skills

• Practical problem-solving mindset.
• Strong ownership and accountability.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

What you are going to do

1. Prediction Engine

• Build prediction models using:
  
• statistical analysis, pattern mining, time-series
• traditional ML and ensemble approaches
  
• Continuously evaluate and improve model performance.
  

2. Voice & NLP (Lao language)

• Evaluate and integrate STT/TTS solutions (Whisper, Google STT, open-source).
• Fine-tune or adapt speech models for Lao with limited data.
• Build voice processing pipelines:
• noise reduction, VAD, text normalization
• Implement basic NLP:
• intent classification
• entity extraction (numbers, dates, actions)

3. Personalization & User Modeling

• Develop models for:
• user behavior analysis
• engagement and churn prediction
• personalized recommendations
• Apply embeddings and vector search for user representation.

4. Data & Feature Engineering

• Collaborate with backend teams to define AI-ready event schemas.
• Work with data stored in S3/Athena.
• Clean, transform, and prepare data for training and inference.

5. Deployment & Integration

• Package and deploy models as APIs (FastAPI/Flask).
• Integrate AI services into production systems.
• Monitor latency, errors, and model quality.

6. Collaboration

• Work closely with Backend, Mobile, and DevOps teams.
• Provide AI insights during feature planning and system design.
